Pori Moni's Eid Celebration

On the occasion of Holy Eid-ul-Azha, actress Pori Moni stood beside the junior artists of the country by gifting a cow to them. The cow was sacrificed at BFDC on Tuesday, the day of Eid.

Her bags were packed and she was ready to visit her grandmother's house to celebrate Eid after a busy year of movies, when she read an upsetting article in the newspaper about junior artists and how it has become very difficult for them to live everyday life due to a decline in the availability of work in BFDC, for which they cannot celebrate Eid. She changed her plans and decided to spend Eid with these artists so that they all can enjoy the holy occasion happily together. When she arrived on the day of Eid, she was hugged by all the junior artists and the emotional moment led to most of them crying out of joy and respect for this actress. When asked about why she made this decision, she replied “These junior artists are my co-workers and my family and so I think it is my responsibility to put a smile across all of their faces and spend time with them. I couldn't be happy spending Eid at my grandmother's house knowing that these artists are deprived of happiness”. The popular actress spent her time with them from midday to sunset. The actress later visited her grandmother's house on Saturday, September 17.

The sacrificed cow stands as a testimony of the strong fraternity that exists in the country's film industry. With more gestures such as this, the struggle of BFDC workers could eventually come to an end.
